When Brittany Ellis walks into chemistry class on the first day of senior year, she has no clue that her carefully created “perfect” life is about to unravel before her eyes. She’s forced to be lab partners with Alex Fuentes, a gang member from the other side of town, and he is about to threaten everything she's worked so hard for—her flawless reputation, her relationship with her boyfriend, and the secret that her home life is anything but perfect. Alex is a bad boy and he knows it. So when he makes a bet with his friends to lure Brittany into his life, he thinks nothing of it. But soon Alex realizes Brittany is a real person with real problems, and suddenly the bet he made in arrogance turns into something much more.  In a passionate story about looking beneath the surface, Simone Elkeles breaks through the stereotypes and barriers that threaten to keep Brittany and Alex apart.

Wow... That's all I can say about this book is Wow. To be completely honest, I wasn't in a rush to read this book. I don't know why, but I just kept pushing it further down on my to be read pile. But then I just decided that I should read it. And I absolutely loved this book.

I really liked the characters in this book. Brittany, She was the popular girl that everybody wants to be. But I really liked how Elkeles, gave us an inside look on that you don't judge a book by its cover. I loved how Brittany was just as fragile inside, and had real feelings like the rest of do. Alex Alex Alex. I loved his character in this book! I loved how he was a bad boy in this novel. I loved seeing it in his perspective at times, he is also an example of how you don't judge a book by its cover. LOVED LOVED LOVED this book.

Like I said before, I loved the different perspectives between Alex, and Brittany. With that being said, I totally reccomend this book to anyone, a really good read.
5/5 stars
