Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone by J.K Rowling

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

Released: October 1, 1998
Published: Scholastic
Pages: 309

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley—a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry's room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn't had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry—and anyone who reads about him—will find unforgettable. For it's there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that's been waiting for him... if Harry can survive the encounter.

Okaay.. I know I knoww,. Why haven't I read this book like years ago... Well I have a good reason.. Actually I don't I just haven't read it. Let me say this, I was a harry potter fan when I grew up. I loved the movies, but never really thought about actually reading the books.  Well I am now.. And I loved this book!

It was soo fantastic.. I loved loved loved.. J.K Rowling does a fantastic job at creating the world of Harry Potter. When I read this book I really wanted to be in the book, and attend Hogwards. It was just beautifully written.

The characters were also fantastic. Harry. I loved how he took action, and to responsibility for his actions, and wanted to help out the wizards. Ron & Hermionie were such good friends, I would Love to have a silly friend like Ron , and a loyal smart friend like Hermionie.

With that being said... If you haven't read this series yet, you should get to reading it. Well Now I am off to go read the chamber of secrets.. I recommend this book to everyone..

Epic Fail by Claire LaZebnik

Epic Fail by Claire LaZebnik

Released: August 2nd, 2011
Publisher: HarperTeen
Pages: 288

Will Elise’s love life be an epic win or an epic fail?
At Coral Tree Prep in Los Angeles, who your parents are can make or break you. Case in point:
As the son of Hollywood royalty, Derek Edwards is pretty much prince of the school—not that he deigns to acknowledge many of his loyal subjects.
As the daughter of the new principal, Elise Benton isn’t exactly on everyone’s must-sit-next-to-at-lunch list.
When Elise’s beautiful sister catches the eye of the prince’s best friend, Elise gets to spend a lot of time with Derek, making her the envy of every girl on campus. Except she refuses to fall for any of his rare smiles and instead warms up to his enemy, the surprisingly charming social outcast Webster Grant. But in this hilarious tale of fitting in and flirting, not all snubs are undeserved, not all celebrity brats are bratty, and pride and prejudice can get in the way of true love for only so long.

WHOA. I really liked this book! I thought it was a very cute, light read! I loved everything about this book, from the plot to the characters. AMAZING!

Elise. She was an awesome protagonist. She sometime got on my nerves, and you will definetley see what I am talking about as you read the book. But other then that one part that she kept getting on my nerves, she was a great character. Jules, she is one of the four sisters of Elise. I really liked her character, I would definetley like to have an older sister like her, she is just really caring and more. Derek Edward... So hmmmm... what to say about him, Well first off at the beginning of the book, this kid is just awkward.. I'm like bro is this the guy that she is supposed to like end up with.?? Well let me tell you this he definetley opens up during the book. I really enjoyed reading about him. Webster... I did not like himm.!! I was so mad at Elise at this part!!! blaahhh I am not going to spoil it for you guys, you will just have to read the book!(:

Well, with that being said it was a good book, at some parts in the middle of the book it was a little slow, but then it would pick up. So go read it.. please. haha

The Duff by Kody Keplinger

 The Duff by Kody Keplinger

Released: September 7, 2010
Publisher: Poppy/Little Brown
Pages: 280

Seventeen-year-old Bianca Piper is cynical and loyal, and she doesn’t think she’s the prettiest of her friends by a long shot. She’s also way too smart to fall for the charms of man-slut and slimy school hottie Wesley Rush. In fact, Bianca hates him. And when he nicknames her “the Duff,” she throws her Coke in his face.

But things aren’t so great at home right now, and Bianca is desperate for a distraction. She ends up kissing Wesley. Worse, she likes it. Eager for escape, Bianca throws herself into a closeted enemies-with-benefits relationship with him.

Until it all goes horribly awry. It turns out Wesley isn’t such a bad listener, and his life is pretty screwed up, too. Suddenly Bianca realizes with absolute horror that she’s falling for the guy she thought she hated more than anyone.

To be honest, I was kind of hestent to read this book.. I really do not know why. But I am soo glad that I gave this book a go, because honestly I really enjoyed this book. I am really happy I gave it a try

I really liked the characters in this book. Bianca wasn't the most popular, skinniest, prettiest, but when it comes down to it beauty is only skin deep, and that's what I really like about her character. Wesley Rush ....at first I totally did not like this kid, like forreal, he was a total jerk , and the typical stereotype... BUT( yep there's a but) as the story line went on, he actually turned out to be a really cool kid, and pretty nice.

So clearly I really enjoyed this book. I would definetley reccomend this book to anyone. Great funny read.
