City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

City of Bones

Released: Febuary 19, 2008
Publisher: McElderry Books
Pages: 485

When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a smear of blood—to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know...

Sooo... I loved this book ! To tell you the truth, I wasn't going to read this book, but then I heard a lot of great book reviews of it, and decided to give it a try. And boy am I not disappointed.

The characters in this book were great! Clary. She was strong willed, and determined to know what is going on in her life right now, and to figure out what happend to her mother. I thought she was a great main character. Jace.Jace.Jace. I absolutely loved his character. I loved how he would be so caring but yet at the same time have that bad boy aspect in him. SO definetley a great character. Simon. I thought he was a great character also. He was a good best friend to Clary and really cares about her.

Besides the characters I thought the plot was FANTASTIC.  The whole Shadowhunter world I loved! It was so interesting, I could literally not put this book down. With that being said I loved loved loved loved this book, go read it !
5/5 stars.
